Mental health series

This series was a part of my AP art capstone investigation during high school. The works illustrate the decline of my mental health during the senior year—in part due to the social climate as well as unhealthy relationships. Animals were picked as the subject matter because of their unique symbolism, as well as their natural dynamics between other animals. Animals are universal, which gives the viewer accessibility to connect with the imagery.
